Part two of our series on before and after school education covers the importance of school-age child care during the summer months.
School-Age Child Care: Summer is Coming

Dates on a calendar are closer than you might think. If you have a child that is between 6 years old and 12 years old, in case you haven’t noticed, summer is around the corner. Think we’re kidding? The last day of school in Mesa and in Gilbert is May 22 this year, and that doesn’t include April break. What does this all mean? You need school-age child care.
What do school age child care programs do? Well they teach important skills such as problem-solving, communication, and social interaction. They help your children to make new friends. They encourage your child to be creative and to engage in healthy physical activity. And there is a real need for that in all people, but especially in children.
Why Do I Need School-Age Child Care?
Well, in an ideal world, if you’re a couple, one of you works an opposing shift such as second, so you have 24X7 child care. Or maybe your folks can take the kids a while. But sometimes that is just not doable. And now that school is out, your kids are going to have a LOT of time on their hands. Maybe later in the summer, you’re thinking of going on a family vacation, but what about before then?
So remember that you want to give your children an edge and allow them to do well later on as well as enjoy life. They’re not going to get that whining about being bored, watching TV, or playing with the game console. Enroll your children in a school-age child care program today.
This concludes part two of our series. For more information on early childhood education, be sure to read part one and part three as well.
