What are your hours?

We are available to provide excellent child care Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in both our Gilbert and Mesa locations.

What programs do you offer?

We offer a variety of programs including full day, part day, five days per week, less than five days as well as before and after elementary school care. We serve infants from six weeks and serve one-year-olds, toddlers, preschoolers and school age programs. Learn more about our curriculum which is designed to ensure your infant/toddler is ready for preschool, and your preschooler is ready for kindergarten.

Are you licensed and DES approved?

Yes, we are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, and we are DES approved. Our caring teachers utilize curriculum and programs based on the nationally acclaimed Creative Curriculum. Please see our Preschool Curriculum page for details.

Is preschool tax deductible?

If you qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit, you may be able to deduct or receive a tax credit for these costs. Please check with your tax professional to verify your circumstances.

What is preschool?

Preschool is a program for children who have moved beyond toddlerhood but aren’t yet old enough for kindergarten. At Kid’s Corner, our preschool curriculum is designed to promote your child’s social and academic development to lay the groundwork for a solid start in kindergarten.

How old must a child be to enroll?

We care for children from 6 weeks of age to 12 years of age.

How do teachers and parents communicate about your child?

Our teachers provide parents with daily reports on their child’s activities and accomplishments. Parents can speak to their child’s teacher at any time.

Do you take children that are not potty trained?

We absolutely take children that need to be potty trained and we have the staff and system to help our children gain toilet training independence. Our facilities are specially equipped with sanitary diapering areas and child sized toilets.

When do kids start preschool/what age do kids start preschool/when to start preschool?

We recommend children start preschool 1-2 years before kindergarten, which means kids will start preschool at age 3 to 4. Kid’s Corner utilizes developmentally appropriate enrichment programs as part of our care for infants and toddlers as well as a dynamic preschool curriculum.

What are the ages for preschool and kindergarten?

In Arizona, kindergarten starts at age five. Arizona states that “a child is deemed five years of age if the child reaches the age of five before the first of September of the current school year.” Preschool starts at age three or four.

Do you provide meals?

Yes, we serve children a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. The nutritional value of our meals has been approved and certified by the Arizona Department of Education.

Do you provide transportation to and from my child’s school?

Yes, we transport children to and from nearby public schools.

What do the children learn?

All classrooms use the age appropriate and nationally recognized Creative Curriculum®. Each classroom has learning centers where children can explore, discover and learn in an educationally rich and highly motivating learning environment. The lesson plans are posted and followed in every classroom.
